Balloon Returns

2010 BALLOON RETURNS

From Painesville to Poughkeepsie
This Easter, as in many Easters past, we released balloons at the end
of our worship service, shouting “He is risen! He is risen indeed!” as
the balloons filled the sky, this year over 30th and Euclid instead of
96th and Euclid. Attached to the balloons were cards urging the folks
who found our balloons to respond. Here are some that have come back

EASTER BALLOONS UPDATE (2009)
Four balloons carried our Easter greeting to fertile ground and four cards were returned. Prevailing winds from the northwest sent our balloons south and east to East Canton (1 balloon), Carrollton ( 2 balloons) and Smithfield ( 1 balloon). All locations are in Ohio.

EASTER BALLOONS FOUND ON FARMLAND AND YOUTUBE (2008)
Most of the balloons we launched on Easter morning traveled approximately 30 miles to the Middlefield/ Newbury/West Farmington area of Ohio. We received back 13 of the cards that were attached to the balloons, and some notes such as these:

“Hello – I’m Laura Miller…I am 11 and in the 5th grade…We live on Percheron Horse Farm…We have 3 colts born this year…My grandparents across the driveway from us own the Sugarloaf Greenhouse. I like to help plant the flowers when I can. I like to sell the things too. You’re welcome to come over. Love, Laura Miller.”

“Hello, Fellow Christians – We were very excited about being part of your Easter event, and also viewed your pictures online. Felt as though we became a part of your Christian family. He’s risen indeed! And walks amongst us still! The Rennolds Family.”

Tim Robson recorded the event and got it on Youtube. See us releasing our balloons in the snow in front of the church at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3pv6WpGu3g

See the display of the cards and their destinations on the bulletin board near the parking lot entrance. See photos taken Easter Sunday
